How to read this page
A quick guide to the San Bernardino County call log — what the colors and columns mean, how to dig into a call, and the official code references used by dispatch.
Rows and colors
- Blue rows are SBSO (Sheriff) calls; darker SBSO rows are still open; deeper blue rows are CHP (Highway Patrol).
- Orange rows are fire / medical responses.
- Dark grey rows are SCE power outages, and medium grey rows with bright yellow text are lightning strikes — they're shown in the log only when you enable them.
- The area tag (e.g.
DAG,BAR) is split from the street address so you can filter either part.
The + button (expanded details)
Clicking the + opens the full detail window for that call: revision history, current details, the converted location, any structured data attached to the call, and — for CHP calls — the raw CHP location text and a clickable GPS link to view the exact coordinates on a map.
Call numbers, prefixes, and descriptions
Every call has a call number and a prefix. The prefix is the code dispatch uses for the type of call (for example RAJ = Run Away Juvenile, MISPER = Missing Person). The prefix description shown under the code comes from the county's published code references. Arrest dispositions are boxed in red so they stand out.
Both documents are the county's own reference schedules, mirrored here for convenience.
Filters and export
- The search box and the column filters (date/time, station, agency, call no, report, type, dispo, location, area) narrow the feed — and the map shows exactly what the filtered list shows.
- Export CSV / JSON downloads only the currently filtered rows.
- Show Map toggles the embedded map; Open Map in New Window gives you a dedicated monitor view.
- Use 🔔 Set Up Call Alerts for browser notifications when a new call matches your criteria.
- The Mojave River flood watch and Mojave weather cards at the top are live feeds; each has a definitions block explaining its fields.
